Shadowrun 4th Edition Character Sheet
Updated December 25, 2009
Merry Christmas...
I spent some time and took and created a version of a Shadowrun character sheet that is fillable in Adobe Acrobat and Acrobat Reader. Most of the file is complete, but there are still a few sections that I haven't gotten to as yet to make editable, like the cybernetics page at the very end. This sheet is based on the one by Ismo version 2.1.
I recently found another SR4 Character Sheet to begin modifying from Super Spy Studios. This is a basic sheet designed for characters that can fit on two pages. Or just keep filling out and printing the additional "back pages".
The skills section now does the addition of the attribute with the rank for the final pool size. One still needs to enter in the associated attributes value into the needed field. This just saves one step from each skill being placed on the sheet. Most of this sheet is just copy and paste of fields from one page to another. Aside from the first page, the rest are each customized for a variation on a character theme. So, one only needs the first page for basic info and then choose which of the other pages one needs for a character. The last two pages for character gear and notes should work for any character without filling in stuff from previous pages.
Turns out I had missed one of the pages at the end of the Ismo sheet which has the detailed locations of the cyberware (costs and locations in the body). The cost columns should auto sum and the total cost field sums all the areas up. So, just look down at the bottom right corner to see how much essence that has been spent from the character. This doesn't handle the calculations for the various grades automatically. That has to be handled outside the document.
I manipulated a few of the fields on Page 2 of the SR4 Long Sheet to help make the text more legible. Next up will be checking the other fields for similar legibility issues due to the way the fields were setup.

Sources
Howdy! Very nice job, buddy! May I have the sources? I would like to make a translated german version of this!
The PDFs are the only source
The PDFs are the only source files I have for the character sheets. Acrobat Pro or Illustrator can open PDFs for editing to change out text.
from the last version to this one
you lost the ability to save the file fully filled in and the ability to enter text into fields from the saved copy....can only fill out online and print....
not as useful as before...may want to check permisions
Needo
Files checked
Rechecked the files and both seem to be fine according to Acrobat Reader 9 on my system. Reuploaded them just to be sure.
Will check
OK. I'll take a look at those two files and see what got missed.
skillz
hey could maby the size of the numbers behind the skills be made a fair bit larger they are nearly unreadable
awesome sheet though is gonna see alot of use in my SR group
I changed the fields on page
I changed the fields on page 2 of the long form character sheet (first one in the list). Let me know if they work better. I'll look through the rest of it later for similar legibility issues.
I'll see what I can do for
I'll see what I can do for that.
Separate?
Hey, if I wanted to tweak these sheets to create different "sets" for different characters (Mage, Mundane, Rigger, etc), that just involved removing or copying certain pages, what program would I use?
PDF creation
For general PDFs, those could be created by quite a few programs including GSview. But if you want to allow the PDFs to be editable forms, then you'll need to use something like Adobe Acrobat Pro. If you're a student at a University, you can probably get it for far less than the commercial version. I think I paid about $70 vs ~$300 if I bought it from Best Buy.
Text imput
Some of the large blocks of text areas you have set up as one imput box insted of individule lines. After a few lines of imputing text and hitting enter the text doesnt line up with the sheet lines.
I went through the Ismo sheet
I went through the Ismo sheet and messed with the fonts and box sizes to try and make it so that the lines of text line up with the lines in the background image.
I'll take a look at altering
I'll take a look at altering the format of the Text blocks so that they line up with the lines under them. I chose to do them as a block so that it would handle text flow to the next line automatically, but thanks for pointing this out.
Your Knowledge skill fields
Your Knowledge skill fields all only accept three letters.
Oops. Looks like I copied
Oops. Looks like I copied that field over from the Attribute text field. I'm uploading a new version that fixes this problem.
